- My first time to India was life-changing. I expected to be away from The States for seven months and was gone for two years flying around the globe and returning to India two more times. A little girl, Komla was what grabbed my heart for India. I spent three weeks in the slums of Mumbai teaching her English. In return she showed me her life and introduced me to a new passion. I believe photography is more than just film or captured moments. It brings light and colour to an untold story. These people changed my life and I hope I can bring light into theirs. My goal is to give back to the people of extreme poverty. I want my photographs to mean more than just a picture, I want it to be an opportunity to relieve poverty. ___________ ____________ ____________ Currently Stephanie is living in New York where she studies photojournalism.
Is it just those kids living in there or do they have parents there too?
ReplyDeleteAnimals don't live in 3,000 sq foot houses .. nor hovels.. we should aim for better!
Some live there on their own... they run away but mostly they adopt each other and some have parents
