- My first time to India was life-changing. I expected to be away from The States for seven months and was gone for two years flying around the globe and returning to India two more times. A little girl, Komla was what grabbed my heart for India. I spent three weeks in the slums of Mumbai teaching her English. In return she showed me her life and introduced me to a new passion. I believe photography is more than just film or captured moments. It brings light and colour to an untold story. These people changed my life and I hope I can bring light into theirs. My goal is to give back to the people of extreme poverty. I want my photographs to mean more than just a picture, I want it to be an opportunity to relieve poverty. ___________ ____________ ____________ Currently Stephanie is living in New York where she studies photojournalism.
