I wish there was actually some perfume in the bottle so the title was a little more fitting. The image is nice though and has a bit of an abstract quality. I think the lighting works well with the subject, especially the change in the background from black to gray. Also I definitely see a face on the left side of the image, which I thought it was pretty cool.
My first time to India was life-changing. I expected to be away from The States for seven months and was gone for two years flying around the globe and returning to India two more times. A little girl, Komla was what grabbed my heart for India. I spent three weeks in the slums of Mumbai teaching her English. In return she showed me her life and introduced me to a new passion.
I believe photography is more than just film or captured moments. It brings light and colour to an untold story. These people changed my life and I hope I can bring light into theirs.
My goal is to give back to the people of extreme poverty. I want my photographs to mean more than just a picture, I want it to be an opportunity to relieve poverty.
